Welcome to my personal website !

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at École d’Actuariat, Université Laval (Québec, Canada). I completed my PhD in Mathematics and Modeling at UMR MISTEA - INRAE, Université de Montpellier (Montpellier, France). I defended my thesis on October 10, 2025. The manuscript is available here and the defense slides (in French) here.

Research interests

My research focuses on the structure of optimal solutions in constrained deterministic and stochastic control systems. More broadly, I am interested in how mathematical modeling and analysis can contribute to the understanding of complex systems arising in natural sciences and engineering. In particular, I study optimal strategies for the management of resources in systems exposed to uncertainty and potentially extreme events.

Research overview

PhD work

During my PhD, I worked on crop irrigation decision support tools in the context of climate change and water resource preservation. Both analytical and numerical approaches were developed to study optimal irrigation strategies under state constraints, deficit irrigation frameworks, and weather uncertainties. This project relied on a double modeling approach, combining a theoretical optimal control model with the operational simulation tool Optirrig.

Current research

My current research explores stochastic optimal control problems with constraints, with particular interest in jump systems and applications to areas such as insurance, epidemiology, and resource management under uncertainty.
